How listings work

Who runs Yumlyt

Yumlyt is operated by Theaimart from Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. It is a marketplace: the restaurants and shops you see are independent local businesses, and they prepare and are responsible for what you order.

Where a listing comes from

Every business on Yumlyt created its own listing through the Yumlyt Partner app. The name, category, address, map location, photos, opening hours and menu you see are the ones the business entered, and the business can change them at any time.

We do not publish businesses' phone numbers on this website. To reach a business about an order, use the order itself.

What “KYC-verified” means

A business only appears on Yumlyt after our team has reviewed and approved its KYC — the details that establish who runs it. Until then it has no public page and cannot take orders.

Verification is about who the business is. It is not an inspection of its premises, and it is not a judgement of its food, products, prices or service.

How ratings work

Ratings are given by signed-in Yumlyt customers on a scale of 1 to 5. Each customer can rate a business once and can change their rating later. A rating is not currently limited to customers who have ordered from that business.

A business's average includes every rating it has received. We do not write, buy or edit ratings. If a rating looks fake or abusive, please tell us.

How lists are ordered

Businesses with a menu you can order from are listed first, then by customer rating once a business has at least 3 ratings, then alphabetically. No business pays to appear higher on this list.

A “top-rated” list only appears once at least 3 businesses in it each have 3 or more ratings. With fewer, it would be a handful of opinions presented as a ranking.

Opening hours and “open now”

The hours shown are the ones the business set for taking orders on Yumlyt, in India time. “Open now” is worked out in your browser from those hours and from the business's own open/closed switch, which it can turn off at any time — so a business within its hours can still be shown as not taking orders.

Which pages appear in search engines

We ask search engines to list a business's page once it has a menu with at least 3 items you can order, and a city or category page once it has at least 3 such businesses. Pages below that bar are still here for you to browse; they are just not offered to search engines until there is enough on them to be useful.

Reporting a mistake

If something on a listing is wrong — the address, the hours, the category, or a business that has closed — email contact@yumlyt.com with a link to the page, and we will look into it with the business.

For businesses

If your business is listed, you can update your details, hours, photos and menu in the Yumlyt Partner app whenever you like; the website follows within a few minutes. Not on Yumlyt yet? See partnering with Yumlyt.
